In 1 Cor. 15:23, we are given the order of resurrection<\/strong>, "Christ, the firstfruits, and afterward those who are Christ's at His coming…" Thus no one could be resurrected until Jesus was. Nor can any be resurrected until "those who are His", i.e. the Church, are also resurrected.<\/p>\n

Matt. 11:11 points out the distinction,  “Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist<\/strong>; notwithstanding he that is<\/strong> least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he<\/strong>.” Even John the Baptist isn't going to be in heaven. However, in Heb. 11 we are assured that Moses, along with all the faithful before Christ, will be given a wonderful earthly resurrection. Jesus declared, “…ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.” Luke 13:28.<\/p>\n

Our Lord further explained the totality of the resurrection in John 5:28, 29 <\/strong>(ESV), "all who are in their graves shall hear His voice and come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.” The great majority of mankind (those who have done evil) will indeed rise from death. But these dear ones will need to accept Jesus as their Savior and learn righteousness, “For when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants will learn righteousness.” Isaiah 26:9<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
