Salvation means that a person is brought into a right standing with God.  We get salvation through belief in Jesus who died on the cross for us.  The Apostle Paul says in Acts 4:12,  "<\/em>…<\/em>there is no other name <\/em><\/p>\n

[than Jesus] under heaven<\/em>…<\/em>whereby we must be saved."<\/em>   Romans 5:19 says, "By one man's <\/em>[Adam's] disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one<\/em> [Jesus], the many will be made righteous <\/strong><\/em>[will gain salvation]."<\/p>\n

Believing in Jesus is more than simply saying the words.  It means living as Jesus lived, following in his footsteps.  Our just and loving God has provided two paths to salvation<\/strong>, that is, being made righteous by following Jesus.  Here are the two salvations:<\/p>\n

1.  A heavenly salvation<\/strong> is for those whose life is totally given to doing God's will.  They live a life of sacrifice as Jesus did.  These people prove that they are faithful unto death.  "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life."<\/em>  Revelation 2:10.  The "crown of life"<\/em> is immortal life in heaven after death.<\/p>\n

2.  Many living now or in past ages have not made a complete consecration of their life to do God's will, or perhaps have lived in ungodly ways.  Many have not even heard the name of Jesus while they lived.  These will be resurrected to life on earth for the opportunity to learn about Christ so they can follow his righteous ways. 1 Corinthians 15:22 says, "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."<\/em>  The prophet Joel wrote of the time when God would "pour out His spirit on all flesh," <\/em>Joel 2:28.  Isaiah 35 describes the "highway of holiness"<\/em> in Christ's future kingdom on earth when men will know God and follow Jesus.  Those who follow Jesus will have the reward of eternal life on earth.  This is the earthly salvation<\/strong> promised by our just and loving God.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
