{"id":37342,"date":"2022-09-13T13:34:31","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T18:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/when-a-christian-dies-where-does-he-go\/"},"modified":"2022-09-13T13:34:31","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T18:34:31","slug":"when-a-christian-dies-where-does-he-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/when-a-christian-dies-where-does-he-go\/","title":{"rendered":"When a Christian dies, where does he go?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p>Jesus promised: &ldquo;My Father&rsquo;s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? . . .&nbsp; I will come back and take you to be with me&hellip;&rdquo; John 14:1-3 NIV<\/p>\n<p>Recorded in Matthew 16:24, Jesus taught that Christians are his footstep followers who deny themselves and faithfully take up their cross daily until they die. &ldquo;Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.&rdquo; Psa 116:15<\/p>\n<p>These disciples, or &ldquo;saints,&rdquo; will be rewarded with a &ldquo;room in God&rsquo;s house.&rdquo; Resurrected Christians will join the glorified Jesus to live forever in the Heavens with God.&nbsp; &ldquo;The LORD (God) has established His throne in the heavens&hellip;&rdquo; Psa 103:19NIV &ldquo;This is what the LORD (God) says: &ldquo;Heaven is my throne. . .&rdquo; Isa 66:1NIV &ldquo;Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest (Jesus), who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; . . . the throne of God.&rdquo; Heb 8:1NIV &amp; Heb 12:2NIV The throne is not to be understood as a literal throne; but symbolizes a place of power.<\/p>\n<p>In the &ldquo;first resurrection&rdquo; (Rev 20:6), Christians will receive a spirit body in heaven. &ldquo;And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to <em>share his divine nature<\/em> and escape the world&rsquo;s corruption caused by human desires.&rdquo; 2 Pet 1:4 NLT<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, all the rest of mankind who do not qualify as Christians will be given a home on Earth when they are resurrected.&nbsp; This will happen during the Millennial Age when mankind is awakened from death in the second resurrection and they &ldquo;learn righteousness&rdquo;. &ldquo;When your (God&rsquo;s) judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.&rdquo; Isa 26:9NIV &ldquo;But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits (and &ldquo;his brethren&rdquo; Rom 8:29), after that those who are Christ&rsquo;s at His coming (the rest of mankind during the Millennial Age).&rdquo; 1 Cor 15:20- 23NASB &nbsp;In the Millennial Kingdom; &ldquo;&hellip;those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.&nbsp;&nbsp; A little while, and the wicked will be no more; . . .
