The Adam&rsquo;s Apple is thyroid cartilage. &nbsp;When the larynx or voice box grows during puberty, it sticks out at the front of the throat. A girl&rsquo;s larynx does not grow as much as a boy&rsquo;s does. The larger larynx gives boys deeper voices. Men&rsquo;s Adam&rsquo;s Apples are more pronounced so that they can be easily seen. &nbsp;To find a woman&rsquo;s Adam&rsquo;s Apple, one must usually feel for it.<\/p>\n<p>The origin of the term &ldquo;Adam&rsquo;s Apple&rdquo; goes back to the biblical event where Eve gave Adam a forbidden fruit, which is commonly misrepresented as an apple.
