Both males and females have Adam’s Apples. The Adam’s Apple is thyroid cartilage.  When the larynx or voice box grows during puberty, it sticks out at the front of the throat. A girl’s larynx does not grow as much as a boy’s does. The larger larynx gives boys deeper voices. Men’s Adam’s Apples are more pronounced so that they can be easily seen.  To find a woman’s Adam’s Apple, one must usually feel for it.<\/p>\n

The origin of the term “Adam’s Apple” goes back to the biblical event where Eve gave Adam a forbidden fruit, which is commonly misrepresented as an apple.
