Probably the principal figure (outside of Christ) who demonstrated this trait was Joseph (a type of Christ). Even though Joseph did not cause the evil events that befell him, he nevertheless did not complain nor did he compromise his morality, but patiently endured all God allowed him to go through without complaining- prefiguring the mindset of Jesus Christ.
