The examples in the scriptures focusing on the discontent of our forebears on the Sinai reveals their lack of awareness that God had purposely planned and engineered the events in their lives. Conversely, Job and Jonah did incrementally learn that God was in control of the events in their lives, eventually moving their focus away from self- pity to quiet yieldedness to God’s sovereignty and providence. We also have to learn that: (1.) God has caused or allowed the circumstance and allowed the consequences, (2.) God will use the circumstance ultimately for good, and (3.)God doesn’t owe us anything, not even an explanation. <\/p>\n
