Before godly love can exist, one has to have a solid relationship with God, produced by prayer, Bible study, and meditation. A person with this relationship with God has the fruits of the Spirit to create the conditions of peace. But the person with a carnal mind is continually at enmity with God. Consequently, most of the world cannot possibly attain peace. God cannot be there for a people sinning against Him. Sin always creates disunity. The sons of God are inherently peacemakers, reflecting an intrinsic part of our Father&#8217;s nature. The first step to promoting peace is to submit to God at every opportunity throughout our lives, putting down the prompts of our carnal human nature.
