A shibboleth could be viewed as any cultural custom which makes one different. The members of God&#8217;s true church have a distinctive shibboleth as we practice the weekly Sabbath or the annual holy days, putting them under the scrutiny of a society which treats those customs with contempt. As Christians practice love, displayed by keeping God&#8217;s laws, they draw attention to themselves.
