Introduction:<\/strong> Read Rom. 6:23.<\/p>\n

1. No harsher reminder in scripture of the effects of sin. Two things to think about…<\/p>\n

1) We are owed death.<\/p>\n

2) It is our own sin for which we will receive these hideous wages.<\/p>\n

2. In contrast Paul reveals another reality, an additional factor.<\/p>\n

1) God has a gift for unworthy sinners.<\/p>\n

2) The gift is eternal life.<\/p>\n

3. We rejoice as we remember God’s amazing gift to us.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Discussion:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I.   All Must Realize the Fix They’re In.<\/p>\n

1. A sin problem, Rom. 3:23.<\/p>\n

2. Our own sin, Eze. 18:20.<\/p>\n

3. Causes a separation, Isa. 59:1-2.<\/p>\n

4. Sin is lawlessness, 1 John 3:4.<\/p>\n

5. Sin damns, Rev. 21:8.<\/p>\n

6. The wages of sin is death! Rom. 6:23<\/p>\n

7. Think of the hopelessness if the passage ended there!<\/p>\n

II.  It Takes God to Get Us Out of the Fix.<\/p>\n

1. A Savior, Luke 2:11.<\/p>\n

2. Daved from wrath, Rom. 5:8-9.<\/p>\n

3. Deliverer, Rom. 11:26; Eph. 4:8.<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. The gift of God remains unclaimed by many.<\/p>\n

2. They haven’t realized the fix they’re in.<\/p>\n

3. Accept the gift of God today.<\/p>\n
