Introduction:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. We now begin where the Bible begins — Genesis 1:1.<\/p>\n

2. This study is appropriate, indeed, in a day of atheism, unbelief.<\/p>\n

I.   The Bible Asserts, “GOD IS!” — And So Do We!<\/p>\n

A. The Bible does not set out to prove God — it does provide evidence wherein one can have faith in God.<\/p>\n

B. Before our world there are two choices: God, or atheistic evolution.<\/p>\n

C. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God!”<\/em> (Psa. 14:1; 53:1).<\/p>\n

II.  Let Us Hear From God On This Matter!<\/p>\n

A. Atheistic and evolutionary forces claim their view is scientific, but it is “science, falsely so called”<\/em> (1 Tim. 6:20).<\/p>\n

B. What are we told in the Bible?<\/p>\n

1. The fact of creation is annouced.<\/p>\n

a. “In the beginning, Cod created…”<\/em> (Gen. 1:1).<\/p>\n

b. “The worlds were framed by the word of God”<\/em> (Heb. 11:3).<\/p>\n

c. To idolaters in Athens, Paul spoke of the God “who made the world, and all things therein”<\/em> (Acts 17:24).<\/p>\n

2. The details of creation are given.<\/p>\n

a. Days 1-5, all of creation except man (Gen. 1:3-25).<\/p>\n

b. And on the 6th day, man!<\/p>\n

1) In God’s image, likeness (Gen. 1:26).<\/p>\n

2) Mankind, created male and female (v. 27, Matt. 19:4).<\/p>\n

3. The agency of creation is revealed.<\/p>\n

a. Of the Christ: “All the things were made by him”<\/em> (John 1:3).<\/p>\n

b. “By him were all things created … all things created by him and for him.”<\/em> (Col. 1:16).<\/p>\n

c. Christ, the beginner of God’s creation (Rev. 3:14).<\/p>\n

III. Man, Then, Responsible Before His Creator.<\/p>\n

A. Man is fearfully, wonderfully made (Psa. 139:14).<\/p>\n

B. Man is made in the image, likeness of God (Gen. 1:26). He, like his Creator, has mind, will, intellect, etc.<\/p>\n

1. He thus is responsible, accountable. We see that Adam and Eve were (Gen. 2:16-17).<\/p>\n

2. Unlike the rest of creation, man has been given the Word of God, by which to direct his life.<\/p>\n

C. Man is thus expected to obey, and to live for, God.<\/p>\n

1. A recommended time for this to begin — in youth (Eccl. 12:1).<\/p>\n

2. Always “NOW, is the accepted time”<\/em> (2 Cor. 6:2).<\/p>\n

3. Men are expected, through obedience, to “commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator”<\/em> (1 Peter 4:19).<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Your Creator, and mine, is also our judge.<\/p>\n

2. Men to be sent away from God eternally if they do not obey the gospel of the Christ (2 Thess. 1:7-9).<\/p>\n

3. Will you obey — through faith, repentance, confession and baptism into Christ for remission of sins?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
