OBJECTIVE:<\/strong> That we have assurance of salvation.<\/p>\n

INTRODUCTION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Read: Colossians 2:2-3.<\/p>\n

2. Regarding the text:<\/p>\n

1) Calvinism is one of the most destructive doctrines in the entire world.<\/p>\n

2) TULIP.<\/p>\n

3) “All sins, past, present and future are forgiven.”<\/p>\n

4) “Once saved, always saved.”<\/p>\n

5) Calvinism, not Bible and certainly not New Testament.<\/p>\n

3. Reference to Subject, Title, Proposition and Objective.<\/p>\n

DISCUSSION:<\/strong> There is assurance of salvation<\/em> in Christ if one —<\/p>\n

I.   OBEYS GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION.<\/p>\n

1. 1 Tim 2:3-4 (ASV)<\/p>\n

2. Ephesians 3:8-11.<\/p>\n

3. 2 Peter 3:9.<\/p>\n

4. The New Testament, Hebrews 9:15-17; 10:9-10.<\/p>\n

5. The plan: hear, believe, repent, confess, and be baptized.<\/p>\n

II.  CONSISTENTLY APPLIES THE SECOND LAW OF PARDON.<\/p>\n

1. Why do we need a second law or avenue of pardon?<\/p>\n

2. 1 John 1:8 and 10; 1 John 2:15-17; Galatians 5:19-21.<\/p>\n

3. Acts 8:22.<\/p>\n

4. James 5:16.<\/p>\n

5. James 5:15<\/p>\n

III. WORSHIPS ACCORDING TO NEW TESTAMENT AUTHORITY.<\/p>\n

2. Many kinds of unacceptable to God worship:<\/p>\n

IV.  LIVES HIS LIFE ACCORDING TO NEW TESTAMENT AUTHORITY.<\/p>\n

CONCLUSION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. There is blessed assurance in Christ if one:<\/p>\n

1) OBEYS GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION;<\/p>\n

2) CONSISTENTLY APPLIES THE SECOND LAW OF PARDON;<\/p>\n

3) WORSHIPS ACCORDING TO NEW TESTAMENT AUTHORITY; and<\/p>\n

4) LIVES HIS LIFE ACCORDING TO NEW TESTAMENT AUTHORITY.<\/p>\n
