As King Hezekiah restores God’s pattern of worship in 2 Chronicles 29, we read in 2 Chronicles 29:30, “….And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.”<\/p>\n
The subject of singing either “with” or “without” musical instruments has been debated throughout the brotherhood for many years. It is not this writer’s intent to “continue” that debate in this article. My only intent is to make a few observations and comments concerning our worship to our heavenly Father through the teaching medium of “singing”. With this in mind, let us “think” about the following scriptural aspects of our “singing unto the Lord”:<\/p>\n
How Do We Sing Unto The Lord?<\/strong><\/p>\n 1)<\/strong> With a prepared heart – Psalm 57:7; Psalm 108:1; Ephesians 5:18-19; Colossians 3:16. Why Do We Sing Unto The Lord?<\/strong><\/p>\n 1)<\/strong> Because God has done many excellent things – Isaiah 12:5. Because Of Who God Is And What God Has Done, We Sing Unto The Lord:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1)<\/strong> To rejoice – Psalm 71:23; Zechariah 2:10. Some Topics Of Our Singing Unto The Lord Are:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1)<\/strong> God’s righteousness – Psalm 51:14; Psalm 145:7, 17.
