He used Rom 8:37-39 and some others that I can not recall to back his view. I was wondering if you could give me some scriptures and any helpful suggestions if talking about this with him.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sure.  I would be happy to help.<\/p>\n<p>There are four scriptures that really hit a &#8220;home run&#8221; when dealing with this issue.<\/p>\n<p>The first is Galatians 5:4 where Paul says to those who have used the Old Law to justify themselves, &#8220;Ye are fallen from grace.&#8221;  That verse says that they were once in grace, but they have now fallen from it.  It&#8217;s really a no-brainer.<\/p>\n<p>The second is Hebrews 6:4-6.  This passage speaks about Christians who have experienced all the good things that are in Christ, but then fell away.<\/p>\n<p>The third is Hebrews 10:26.  This says that those who are Christians who deliberately sin have no more sacrifice for sin.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth, 2 Pet. 2:20-21.
