I was talking with a friend about the once saved, always saved<\/strong> issue and I could not find any good scriptures to show him on the topic. He used Rom 8:37-39 and some others that I can not recall to back his view. I was wondering if you could give me some scriptures and any helpful suggestions if talking about this with him.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sure. I would be happy to help.<\/p>\n

There are four scriptures that really hit a “home run” when dealing with this issue.<\/p>\n

The first is Galatians 5:4 where Paul says to those who have used the Old Law to justify themselves, “Ye are fallen from grace.” That verse says that they were once in grace, but they have now fallen from it. It’s really a no-brainer.<\/p>\n

The second is Hebrews 6:4-6. This passage speaks about Christians who have experienced all the good things that are in Christ, but then fell away.<\/p>\n

The third is Hebrews 10:26. This says that those who are Christians who deliberately sin have no more sacrifice for sin.<\/p>\n

The fourth, 2 Pet. 2:20-21. These verses teach that when a Christian becomes entangled back into the world again, his last state is worse than his first.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
