In the following poem by an unknown author, we see two different attitudes illustrated. Lets seriously think about what the words are saying to us, and then choose the right attitude of heart as we interact with others (cf. Matthew 7:12; Luke 18:9-14).<\/p>\n

A man was down and someone said,<\/strong>
Thats where the rascal ought to be<\/strong>
But never offered him a bed,<\/strong>
Nor gave him water, bread or tea,<\/strong>
And neither did he lift his heart<\/strong>
And breathe a prayer in his behalf,<\/strong>
But plunged in him a deeper dart<\/strong>
By saying, He is worthless chaff.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another looked at this same man<\/strong>
And said, He has a precious soul,<\/strong>
Therefore Ill help him all I can<\/strong>
To rise in life and seek a goal.<\/strong>
And so he spoke a friendly word<\/strong>
And wept because hed fallen low<\/strong>
Then prayed till God in heaven heard<\/strong>
