{"id":45566,"date":"2022-10-01T01:54:44","date_gmt":"2022-10-01T06:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/my-interpretation-or-your-interpretation-bible-study\/"},"modified":"2022-10-01T01:54:44","modified_gmt":"2022-10-01T06:54:44","slug":"my-interpretation-or-your-interpretation-bible-study","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/my-interpretation-or-your-interpretation-bible-study\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;My Interpretation&#8221; Or &#8220;Your Interpretation?&#8221; &#8211; Bible study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For every Bible teaching that has been passed down to man through the Holy Spirit and inspired prophets and apostles (2 Peter 1:19-21; John 14:26; 1 Corinthians 2; Gal. 1:6-12; Ephesians 3:1-6), there can be <strong>only one meaning<\/strong>  the meaning that God originally intended to convey.<\/p>\n<p>We know that we can arrive at and understand Gods truth, <strong>because the Scriptures state that we can<\/strong> (John 8:32; cf. Acts 17:11; Ephesians 3:1-4; Ephesians 5:17; 2 Timothy 2:15 ASV).<\/p>\n<p>As diligent students of Gods word, we must refrain from misinterpreting, distorting, and misusing Scripture (2 Corinthians 4:2; Gal. 1:7; 2 Peter 3:16).<\/p>\n<p>We must carefully test all teaching we receive from the <strong>righteous standard of Gods word<\/strong> (Romans 1:16-17; Romans 10:1-3; 1 John 4:1; cf. Psalm 119:142,144,151,172 NKJV). We must take heed how we hear (Luke 8:18), making certain that we are receptive to Gods truth (Luke 8:15).<\/p>\n<p>Brethren and friends, when it comes to properly understanding the Bible, theres really no such thing as my interpretation and your interpretation. For theres <strong>only one meaning<\/strong>  and thats the meaning that God <strong>originally intended to convey<\/strong>.
