When its hot, he wants it cool. And when its cool, he wants it hot. Always wanting what is not<\/em><\/strong> (source).<\/p>\n<p>In reading Philippians 4:11, we wonder if it is ever possible to be completely content.<\/p>\n<p>Paul thought it was possible, for Philippians 4:12-13 NIV describes Pauls response to life:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Pauls relationship with God superseded whatever he had or didnt have (Luke 12:15). His contentment was not based on his circumstances, but <strong>on his abiding relationship with the Lord<\/strong> (John 15:7; 2 John 1:9).<\/p>\n<p>Paul reminds us that contentment does not happen overnight.
