While it is true there&#8217;s no power in the water per se, were reminded that Jesus once healed a blind man by anointing his eyes and saying, &#8220;Go wash in the pool of Siloam&#8221; (John 9:6-7).<\/p>\n<p>The blind man certainly didnt object by saying, &#8220;Lord, there&#8217;s no power in the water&#8221; (see also Naaman in 2 Kings 5:1-14).<\/p>\n<p>He fully knew and understood that <strong>the power was of the Lord<\/strong>, and he had to fully obey the Lords instructions in order to receive the blessing of eyesight.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, he promptly obeyed and received his sight (John 9:7).<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, there is no power in the water of baptism. The power is of the Lord, but one must go &#8220;into&#8221; the water to receive the blessing of washing away one&#8217;s sins (Acts 8:35-39; cf.
