At one time or another, most of us have attended a dinner or reception where place cards are on tables with our names on them. Years ago, I remember my wife and I attending such a dinner, where I, along with other employees from a major gas pipeline company, was being honored with a plaque for my years of faithful service.<\/p>\n
Its a comforting feeling, knowing that even before the event begins, you already have a reservation at the table with your name on it.<\/p>\n
Just think if were in Christ, we already have a reserved seat at Gods table with our name recorded on a place card called the book of life (1 Peter 1:3-4; Luke 10:20; cf. Daniel 12:11; Philippians 4:3; Revelation 20:12).<\/p>\n
