Psalm 39:1; Proverbs 13:3; Proverbs 21:23).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>He rode into town that day,<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> Acting as if he were going to stay.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> With silver spurs and 10-gallon hat,<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> Upon a proud horse he sat.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>He swaggered down from his horse<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> And said, Howdy, of course,<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> But then he got analytical,<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> And his words turned mighty critical.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Why dont you ever paint your sign?<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> The lettering was sure out of line.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> Cant you dress up the town a bit?<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> Looks pretty bad from where I sit!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>This cowboy liked to cut things down;<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> He minimized folks all over town.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> It wasnt with his gun he killed;<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> His mouth thats where he was skilled.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>He criticized the barbers cut.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> In the road he saw every rut.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> Aunt Merties dumplings he denounced.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> The mayors politics he trounced.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The saloon doors were much too squeaky,<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> And the floor was way too creaky.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> The banks rates were much too high.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> He made plain Jane Stenson cry.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The townspeople endured this critical stuff.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> They suffered till theyd had enough.<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> They formed a posse late one night<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> And rode the Minimizer out of sight.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Its not how tall in the saddle he sat,<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> How his spurs jingled, how he cocked his hat,<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> Nor how famous he was from North to South;<\/em><\/strong><br \/> <strong><em> No, it mattered how he managed his mouth!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Brethren and friends, no matter if were the critic or among those who are criticized, may our words always be seasoned with salt and tempered with love (Colossians 4:6; cf.
