The following above titled story was provided by Brother Marvin Phillips from The Seeker publication, 1978. The story emphasizes the fact that God does indeed have a telephone number, and we need to call His number often:<\/p>\n

She sat there in her wheelchair, badly handicapped, but with a radiant smile on her face.<\/p>\n

Dont you ever feel down, asked the preacher. Doesnt your handicap bother you and discourage you?<\/p>\n

Oh, no, she replied with a smile. You see, I have Gods telephone number. I can call Him up anytime I want to. His line is never busy. He always answers the phone Himself, and He always has the answer to my problem.<\/p>\n

Gods telephone number, huh? What do you mean you have Gods telephone number?<\/p>\n

I have it all right, she said. Its Jeremiah 33:3. Thats where God says,<\/p>\n

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Wow!<\/strong> Its really there! God has promised to answer. He will do things beyond our imagination, if we will just call<\/strong> (cf. Psalm 50:15; Psalm 91:15).<\/p>\n

Now that we have Gods number, have we called Him lately?<\/strong> (1 Thessalonians 5:17; cf. Acts 12:5; Romans 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 2:13).<\/p>\n
