Their only means of communication was a system of signals. One of the signal stations was on the tower of Winchester Cathedral.<\/p>\n<p>Late in the day, it flashed the signal: Wellington Defeated. Unfortunately, the fog had become so dense that only a part of the message could be made out as it was being relayed. Immediately, gloom settled heavily over the English countryside.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine then the joy that must have ensued whenever the fog finally lifted and they received <strong>the rest of the message<\/strong>, Wellington Defeated The Enemy.<\/p>\n<p>When our Lord was crucified, His disciples were so overcome by despair, that they saw but one meaning to the sad event &#8211; Christ Defeated. All hope was gone; Christ was dead.<\/p>\n<p>But praise God, three days later, <strong>the rest of the message<\/strong> came through loud and clear, Christ Defeated The Devil. Victory was achieved! What great news! What great joy!<\/p>\n<p>Through death and the resurrection, Christ conquered the grave, and by His ascending (Acts 1:9-11), He made possible our ascension to heaven as well (Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 15:20; Revelation 1:5).<\/p>\n<p>Hallelujah to God! (Revelation 19:1).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? .
