Sincere religious folks mistakenly believe from Ephesians 2:8-9 – NKJV that grace is received by faith alone. Others believe that grace is acquired when they simply trust in the Lord.<\/p>\n
In 2 Timothy 2:1 – NKJV, Paul tells Timothy regarding grace:<\/p>\n
\n“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus<\/strong>” (emphasis mine).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Looking at 2 Timothy 2:10 – NKJV, Paul tells Timothy regarding salvation:<\/p>\n
\n“Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus<\/strong> with eternal glory” (emphasis mine).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
It’s interesting to note from these two verses that grace<\/strong> is found “in Christ Jesus” and salvation<\/strong> is also found “in Christ Jesus.”<\/p>\n
The obvious question then becomes: How does one get “in Christ Jesus” in order to acquire both grace and salvation?<\/p>\n
The Bible answer is when an individual is baptized “into Christ” (Gal. 3:27 – NKJV; Romans 6:3 – NKJV).<\/p>\n
