One consumer products analyst says that people increasingly want food items that can be eaten quickly and easily while on the road. In today’s fast-paced culture, a leisurely meal at a table is becoming an endangered practice.<\/p>\n
This eat-and-run mentality can also invade our spiritual thinking. Let’s ask ourselves, “Do we set aside daily time for an unhurried prayer meeting with the Lord?” Is our prayer time and Bible study rushed or relaxed?<\/p>\n
The risen Christ told the lukewarm church in Laodicea:<\/p>\n
\n“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me<\/strong>” (Revelation 3:20).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
When we open our hearts in humble obedience to the Lord (Romans 6:17), He promises to come in for a nourishing spiritual meal with relaxed conversation, not just a quick “hello” and “goodbye.”<\/p>\n
