Such a parallelism is found in Deuteronomy 32:7-14-NKJV; Matthew 23:37-NKJV.<\/p>\n<p>In these two sections of Scripture, both God and Christ are <strong>emphasizing their care and concern<\/strong> for the children of Israels physical and spiritual well-being through the beautiful illustration of the eagle and the hen.<\/p>\n<p>Just as the young eagle and chicks are <strong>totally dependent<\/strong> upon the sustenance and care their mothers provide, we too are <strong>totally dependent<\/strong> upon the sustenance and care of the Lord (Acts 14:14-17-NKJV; Acts 17:24-28-NKJV).<\/p>\n<p>As the Lord provided for His childrens <strong>every physical and spiritual need<\/strong> in the wilderness wanderings (Deuteronomy 8-NKJV), the Lord will provide all of our physical and spiritual needs (as spiritual Israel &#8211; Gal. 6:14-16-NKJV; cf. Romans 2:28-29-NKJV; Romans 9:6-8-NKJV; Gal. 3:26-29-NKJV) if we continue to put Him and His kingdom first in our lives (Matthew 6:24-33-NKJV; cf. 1 Chronicles 28:9-NKJV; Romans 11:22-NKJV; 1 Corinthians 15:1-2-NKJV; Colossians 1:12-23-NKJV; 1 Timothy 4:16-NKJV; Hebrews 3:6-NKJV).<\/p>\n<p>However, if we <strong>choose<\/strong> to be <strong>independent<\/strong> of Him and His will, He will allow us to experience the pitfalls and judgment of doing our own thing (Gal. 6:7-NKJV; cf. Matthew 23-NKJV; Romans 1:21-32-NKJV; Romans 2:1-11-NKJV).
