Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success.\u201d The ad, signed by famous Arctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, brought Inquiries from thousands of men. Commenting on this in his book Be Faithful, Warren W. Wiersbe said, \u201cIf Jesus Christ had advertised for workers, the announcement might have read something like this: \u2018Men and women wanted for difficult task of helping to build My church. You will often be misunderstood, even by those working with you. You will face constant attack from an invisible enemy. You may not see the results of your labor, and your full reward will not come till after all your work is completed. It may cost you your home, your ambitions, even your life.\u2019\u201d &#8211; D.C.E.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=right style='margin-bottom:6.0pt;text-align:right; line-height:normal'>Our Daily Bread, June 18<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:6.0pt;line-height:normal'><b>The Umbrella<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:3.0pt;text-indent:18.0pt;line-height: normal'>Several years ago I read an article about Queen Mary, who made it her practice to visit Scotland every year. She was so loved by the people there that she often mingled with them freely without a protective escort. One afternoon while walking with some children, she went out farther than she\u2019d planned. Dark clouds came up unexpectedly, so she stopped at a nearby house to borrow an umbrella. \u201cIf you will lend me one,\u201d she said to the lady who answered the door, \u201cI will send it back to you tomorrow.\u201d The woman didn\u2019t recognize the Queen and was reluctant to give this stranger her best umbrella. So she handed her one that she intended to throw away. The fabric was torn in several places and one of the ribs was broken.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:3.0pt;text-indent:18.0pt;line-height: normal'>The next day another knock was heard at the door.
