I wish I knew what He had planned
Some magic way to see,
Just why my life goes on this way,
So much is asked of me.
He knows exactly what’s in store,
Though I don’t have a clue.
There’s just no way to work alone,
Thank God His strength shines through!
I realize these tasks that call,
In light of what He’s done,
Are not too much for me to do,
Can I give less than all?
This is my reasonably service,
Quite logical you see,
Because He rescued me from hell
For all eternity.
But still dark clouds come overhead,
I drag this ball and chain.
I huff and puff and try to fix
Whatever’s in the way.
I know its God who runs the show,
Guides needful friends my way,
Because He’s shown me where to go
To show them all His way.
And so I’ll toil to do the things
That He’s placed in my path,
I’ll pray for God to give me strength
Until with Him I rest!<\/p>\n
