Ralph Waldo Emerson, American essayist, philosopher and poet once stated, “The true test of civilization is not the census, nor the size of cities, nor the crops no, but the kind of man the country turns out” (source).<\/p>\n
How true a statement this is. The quality and character of a country is dependent on the kind of man it turns out.<\/p>\n
The Proverb writer tells us:<\/p>\n
\n“Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people<\/strong>” (Proverbs 14:34).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The inspired writer Peter must have known this truth from Proverbs, when he stated:<\/p>\n
\n“But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him<\/strong>” (Acts 10:35).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Brethren and friends, the bottom line in all of this: Character Counts!<\/strong><\/p>\n
