{"id":47101,"date":"2022-10-01T02:42:53","date_gmt":"2022-10-01T07:42:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/how-big-is-your-god-bible-study\/"},"modified":"2022-10-01T02:42:53","modified_gmt":"2022-10-01T07:42:53","slug":"how-big-is-your-god-bible-study","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/how-big-is-your-god-bible-study\/","title":{"rendered":"How Big Is Your God? &#8211; Bible study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For some religious folks, God remains a jealous, vengeful and capricious power, playing favorites instead of how the Bible portrays Him  a loving and impartial Ruler who has the right to demand justice and righteousness (Romans 2:1-11; cf. Acts 17:22-31).<\/p>\n<p>The Bible also portrays God as the God who gives and demands love from His people, just like a father does from his children (Matthew 6:24-34; Matthew 22:34-40; Hebrews 12:5-11).<\/p>\n<p>The Bible teaches that the Lord remains the same, unchanging since the beginning of time (Numbers 23:19 ESV; Malachi 3:6; James 1:17). It is only man&#8217;s concept of God that changes.<\/p>\n<p>How we think of God, makes a difference in our behavior (note the contrast of attitude between Genesis 39:7-10 and Acts 5:1-11). The individual whose God is too small, will be inadequate to address the demands of life. A God that is small enough for our understanding, is not large enough to meet our needs.<\/p>\n<p>Even if we diligenty search all of our lives, we will never know all there is know about God (Ecclesiastes 8:16-17; Isaiah 55:8; Romans 11:33-36).
