In Psalm 42:1, the Psalmist compares the physical thirst of a deer with spiritual thirst: As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.<\/p>\n
His thirst was that of a desperate longing for the only true and living God (Psalm 42:2).<\/p>\n
Are we longing for something this world cant provide? This dissatisfaction is the thirsting of our soul for God (Psalm 63:1).<\/p>\n
Our Lord said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6).<\/p>\n
Dear reader, if we are thirsty, let us run to the One who alone can quench our thirst (John 4:14) remembering that, He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness (Psalm 107:9).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
