Each one of these walks is very important, not only for us to consider, but to make a daily application of in our lives as followers of Christ.

The first walk mentioned is walk in love (Ephesians 5:2). Christians are to express the same kind of agape love [considering the best interests of others] as Christ displayed toward us by His sacrifice on the cross (Romans 5:1-11). As does the Lord, we should have a burning desire for all men to be saved (2 Peter 3:9; cf. 1 Timothy 2:1-4; 2 Timothy 2:24-26) and work toward that end (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16; cf. 1 Corinthians 15:58).

The second walk mentioned is walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8). Since Gods word is representative of light (Psalm 119:105), and Christ embodies light (John 8:12), Gods children are to walk in the light or teachings of the gospel of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4-6).

The third walk mentioned is walk circumspectly (Ephesians 5:15 KJV). The American Standard Version, translates the term circumspectly [Gr. akribos] as carefully. The idea presented is to carefully and wisely walk in strict adherence to Gods word (Colossians 4:5; cf. Romans 16:19; James 1:5; James 3:13,17), guarding ourselves from the worlds ungodly influence (Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18).

Questions: In our daily Christian walk, are we walking in love, walking as children of light, and walking carefully? And are we walking to please God? (1 Thessalonians 2:10-13; 1 Thessalonians 4:1).

Lets think about it and “walk” accordingly!

In Ephesians 5, there are three walks mentioned.
