A few years ago, I got a call from a girl in my department who said her car had broken down and left her stranded about two miles from the office. So I drove over there and found her leaning against her car, looking flustered.<\/p>\n
I asked what happened.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, I was just driving down the road, and the car quit running,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cCould you be out of gas?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, I just filled it up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Well, that one question pretty well exhausted my automotive diagnostic abilities, but I persisted. \u201cWhat happened? Did it make any noise?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, yeah,\u201d she replied. \u201cAs I was driving down the hill, it went brump<\/i>, brump<\/i>, brump<\/i>, POW<\/i>!\u201d<\/p>\n
I asked, \u201cWhen was the last time you changed the oil?\u201d<\/p>\n
She said, \u201cOil?\u201d As it turned out, she had owned the car for a year and a half and had never changed the oil.<\/p>\n
I get that same look when I ask frazzled friends, \u201cWhen was the last time you took a Sabbath rest?\u201d<\/p>\n
