I was sitting at my desk in my study after having scolded my daughter, four, for misbehaving. I heard a gentle knock on the door. \u201cCome in,\u201d I said.<\/p>\n
Bethany matter-of-factly said, \u201cDaddy, sometimes I am good, and sometimes I am bad. And that is just the way it is.\u201d Then she left the room, acting as though she had completely explained her misbehavior for all time.<\/p>\n
I later commented to her that she had described the problem we all face. We all do bad things, and the Bible says even the good things we do are not good enough to meet God\u2019s standard of holiness. That is why we need a Savior.<\/p>\n
