I took Abby and Flannery out for something fun to drink. Abby got an apple juice, and Flannery got a Mango Surprise. Despite my insistence that I would pay, my daughters were prepared to be generous with the contents of their piggy banks.<\/p>\n
As we were walking up to the counter, one of them said, \u201cI want to pay for mine.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDaddy\u2019s gonna get it,\u201d I said. She insisted, \u201cI\u2019m paying for mine.\u201d<\/p>\n
The clerk, ringing up the drinks, said, \u201cThat\u2019ll be $2.06.\u201d One daughter put all the change, about 80 cents, on the counter. \u201cUm, that\u2019s not enough,\u201d the clerk said.<\/p>\n
I felt a little tug on my sweater. \u201cI think I\u2019d like to use your money,\u201d my other daughter said.<\/p>\n
