From his hospital bed on the eve of open-heart surgery, Pastor Bruce McIver asked his cardiologist, Dr. Dudley Johnson, \u201cCan you fix my heart?\u201d<\/p>\n
The physician said, \u201cSure.\u201d Then he walked away.<\/p>\n
Following the twelve-hour surgery, McIver asked Johnson, \u201cIn light of the blocked arteries that I had when I checked into the hospital, how much blood supply do I now have?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAll you\u2019ll ever need,\u201d replied the terse surgeon.<\/p>\n
Upon his discharge from the hospital, McIver\u2019s wife, Lawanna, asked the doctor, \u201cWhat about my husband\u2019s future quality of life?\u201d<\/p>\n
