(, comp. Asebia, 1Es 8:48), one of the Israelites who renounced his Gentile wife after the captivity (1Es 9:26); doubtless a corruption for the MALCHIJAH SEE MALCHIJAH (q.v.) of the genuine text (Ezr 10:25).
