ASTEISMUS, language that is , is clever, pleasant, witty (urbane) language, combined with suavity or force; e.g.-The familiar Epistle to Philemon is marvellously . There is complaisance (lepos, graceful pleasantry) in it, mixed with gravity. The Gnom. on Phm 1:9.
