Banid
Banid
( v. r. ; Vulg. Bania), the ancestor or family-head of one of the parties (that of Assalimoth, son of Josa, with 160 retainers) that returned from Babylon with Ezra (1Es 8:36). This represents a name, BANI SEE BANI (q v.), which has apparently escaped from the present Hebrew text (Ezr 8:10).
