(Heb. Ben-Chanan’, , son of one gracious; Sept. v. r. ), the third named of the four sons of Shimon (? Shammai), of the tribe of Judah (1Ch 4:20). B.C. prob. post 1612. Perhaps the name ought to be translated son of Hanan. SEE BEN-.
