BETHUZUR
A city in the hill country of Judah, near Hebron, Jos 15:58 . It was fortified by Rehoboam, 2Ch 11:7, and assisted in rebuilding Jerusalem, Neh 3:16 . Josephus calls it one of the strongest fortresses in Judea; but its site has not yet been identified.
