a Congregational minister, was a native of Wales. He emigrated to America and settled in Milton, Connecticut; was ordained pastor of the Church in Saybrook in 1669 or 1670; was one of the founders and trustees of the institution that afterwards became Yale College; was moderator of the Synod of 1708 that produced the Saybrook Platform, and died in 1709. Buckingham, Thomas (2)

a Congregational minister, son of the foregoing, was born in 1679. He graduated at Harvard College in 1690, was ordained pastor of the Second Church, Hartford, Connecticut, and died November 19, 1731. He published an election sermon. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer. Pulpit, 1:260.
