Castro, Alfonso
a Portuguese Jesuit, was sent as a missionary to India, and was killed there in 1558, by the natives of the Moluccas, after a sojourn of eleven years. He left a full account of his mission (Rome, 1556). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Gneral, s.v.
