Chadias, They of, Chadiasai
kadi-as, kadi-a-s; (the Revised Version (British and American) Codex Alexandrinus, , Chadasai; Codex Vaticanus, , hoi Chadiasai): The inhabitants of the city here referred to returned with Zerubbabel, along with the Ammidioi (1 Est 5:1-14 :20). The name is not found in Ezra and Nehemiah. The Chadiasai have been taken for the people of Kadesh and the Ammidioi for the people of Humtah (Jos 15:54). Possibly the place is identical with Kedesh of Jos 15:23.
