Confessor , died 637 , founder of the See of Balla, Ireland . His acts are mostly legendary. He was educated at Bangor under Saint Comgall . In 616 he founded the Church and Abbey of Balla of which he became the first abbot -bishop . Numerous miracles are attributed to him. Feast , 30 March .
