Cross, Joseph Gould
a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Onondaga County, N.Y., January 12, 1840. He was converted at the age of nine; removed to Illinois with his father early in life; spent four years in school at Evanston; and in 1867 was admitted into the Rock River Conference, wherein he labored with marked success until his death, May 28, 1870.
