Downpatrick, Ireland

Capital of County Down. Oldest town in Ulster. Once the residence of the Irish kings. A see was founded here, c.440 , by Saint Patrick. The priory of the Austin Canons was established by Saint Malachy in the 12th century . Downpatrick is the burial place of Saint Patrick, Saint Columba , and Saint Brigid .
