Dragon-Well
( , eyn hat-tannin’, fountain of the dragon; Sept. ) Vulg. fons draconis), the name of a fountain situated opposite or near the valley gate of Jerusalem (Neh 2:13). It is probably identical with the modern “Upper Pool of Gihon,” on the north-western side of the city, and also with the “Serpent’s Pool” mentioned by Josephus (War, V, 3:2).
