Dromore, Ireland, diocese of
Comprises parts of Down, Armagh , and Antrim counties; suffragan of Armagh ; founded 6th century by Saint Colman, first bishop . The ancient cathedral , taken by the Protestants, was burnt in 1641 by Irish insurgents, and later rebuilt.
