The diocese of Kaduna, Nigeria, Africa was established on 24 August 1911 , entrusted to the Priests of the African Missions of Lyons. The name was changed to the Prefecture Apostolic of Nigeria Settentrionale on 18 July 1929. Elevated to the Prefecture Apostolic of Kaduna on 9 April 1934 . Elevated to the Diocese of Kaduna on 29 June 1953. Elevated to the Archdiocese of Kanduna on 16 July 1959 . See also:
