Elizabeth Galitzin
Princess, born Saint Petersburg, 1797 ; died Louisiana, 1843 . She was converted from the Orthodox faith and shortly after entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart at Metz, 1826 . She was elected assistant-general, 1839 , and while in the United States was stricken with yellow fever, dying a martyr of charity.
