a Jewish writer of Germany, was born in 1696, and died at Altona in 1776. He is the author of numerous treatises, among which are, , a ritual for the whole year (Altonra, 1745, 4 parts, and often; latest ed. Lemberg, 1860): A Life of Jon. Eybenschftz, entitled, (Altona, 1752):- , The Wrapper of Books (ibid. 1763); a critique on the Sohar: On the Fundamental Doctrines of the Cabala (ibid. 1756): , A Collection of Accounts Referring to Sabbathai Zewi, his Pupils and Adherents (ibid. 1752; Lemberg, 1870).
